Automation Department Manager

Place of work: Skawina

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of Automation and Electrical Designers consisting of 30 people
  • Developing the subordinate team through mentoring support, setting goals and evaluating the progress of their implementation, creating space for sharing knowledge and experience
  • Ensuring uniform working methods in the department, in accordance with company standards
  • Distribution of tasks and planning of the team’s work, responsibility for the timely execution of orders
  • Organizing and conducting operational meetings within the department
  • Effectively initiating, creating and implementing new solutions in ongoing projects
  • Responding dynamically to emerging problems in the scope of ongoing projects and solving them
  • Close cooperation with other implementation and support departments
  • Creating a portfolio of automation solutions in accordance with market trends, supporting sales activities
  • Supervision of technical documentation of implemented projects
  • Active participation in the implementation of the company’s strategy
  • Ongoing reporting on activities, projects and goal achievement to the Board of Directors

Requirements:

  • University degree in automation / robotics / or related fields
  • At least 5 years of experience in an engineering position in the area of automation and/or robotics
  • Highly developed managerial skills – min. 2 years of experience in managing a team of engineers
  • Knowledge of solutions used in industrial automation, robotics, control system design
  • Experience in selecting solutions and programming control systems based on Siemens, Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Very good knowledge of the English language allowing free communication
  • Ability to build an interdisciplinary team and motivate employees
  • Ability to consistently implement assigned tasks and company strategy
  • B category driving license
